Summer Term 2019

Hello All.

I hope everyone has been ejoying the mild weather – not quite summer, but we are getting there.

This year has been really busy for English tuition. For the first time in our history we have had students from 3 different key stages: KS3, KS4 and KS5.

Although it has been really challenging, the rewards are well worth it. To see pupils gaining confidence as they master new skills is priceless. For the year 11s and 12s, it is now exam time and my best wishes go out to all of you. Believe in yourselves, relax and just do your best. I know you can do it. You have worked hard all year (well most of it anyway) and you know your texts. The skills have been practiced and refined and it’s now just about self-belief and going for it.

From June, things will be far quieter: only KS3 pupils left. And when tutoring starts back on June 8th, it will be just 6 weeks left until schools out for the summer.  That said, we are in the process of arranging ‘summer school’, so watch this space.

Keep reading, love learning, expand your mind.
